Anna Goldfarb, Acupuncturist
Dr. Anna is both a medical doctor and a licensed acupuncturist with dual training in Western and Eastern medicine. She graduated from Georgetown School of Medicine and completed a pediatric internship there, and then decided to pursue a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and graduated from Five Branches University.
Her passion has been to heal people ever since she was a child. In her practice of Chinese medicine, she is able to treat a person holistically using the various modalities that Chinese medicine has to offer.
During her training at Five Branches, Anna studied gentle Japanese style of acupuncture, Chinese medical massage and craniosacral therapy, and in the past years also styles of acupuncture that help treat pain and internal illnesses more effectively.
One of her favorite modalities in TCM is Chinese dietetics – food as medicine, and Anna always uses its wisdom to help patients achieve optimal health.
Anna uses a gentle Japanese acupuncture technique, which her patients really like. She loves giving her patients Tuina massage to augment acupuncture treatment results, and also works with young patients (children or babies) to give them pediatric massage (Japanese or Chinese). She enjoys helping patients of all ages, starting from infancy and childhood, and continuing to young adults and adults. She has a particular passion for women’s health, helping patients achieve fertility, and supporting them during pregnancy and beyond.
Dr. Goldfarb also teaches in the Western medicine department at Five Branches University, because teaching and sharing her knowledge is one of her passions in life. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to foreign countries, learning different languages, hiking, nature, theater, photography and spending time with her family.
